JOB SUMMARY:This position provides coding for the medical records department as well as provide other clerical, technical and related support services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work assigned shift, with flexibility regarding schedule based on needs of department
• Processes all discharges within 48 hours of discharge.
• Prepares the patient chart for discharge process and assembles components in the correct order.

Job Requirements:

Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

Two years of experience as a coder with Medical Records / Health Information Management.

Certification: RHIT under AHIMA or CPC under AAPC or CCA Accreditation.
