Qualifications
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred:
- Vocational/Technical School Graduate
- Associate's Degree
- Preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience in a dietary or food service leadership role
- Preferred:
- ServSafe Certification
- Registered Dietician (State of Tennessee)
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong understanding of food safety, equipment temperatures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to forecast, order, and manage food inventory
- Effective staff scheduling capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate proficiency using computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills including professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Knowledge and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
