POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Health Information Services is responsible for directing the activities of the Health Information Services Department in the management and maintenance of all patient health information, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within the Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient care. The Manager of Health Information Services is also responsible for overseeing and/or providing physician support functions and assisting the Director with Performance Improvement activities. The Manager of Health Information Services is also responsible for maintaining hospital statistics ensuring accuracy of reported data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Degree in health information management.

Licensure/Credentials: Credentialed as a Registered Health Administration (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
