Inventory Control Clerk/Coordinator
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accepting all supplies delivered to the department.

Essential Job Duties:
Ensures that deliveries arrive at correct receiving temperatures and quality standards are met. Places accurate orders for food and supplies in a timely manner based upon menu needs and stock levels. The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for scheduling the delivery of items from Vendors in a timely manner. Maintains stock levels of supplies at set inventory and par levels. Coordinates and distributes supplies to other departments upon request and for special functions/events.

Education/Training/Experience:

• Ability to understand modified diet restrictions, operates food service equipment, and perform simple math

• Be knowledgeable of kitchen operation, food handling, food preparation, purchasing, and the use of institutional equipment and computers

• Ability to instruct and supervise the work performance of others

• Ability to make decisions and to adapt to changes

• At least two years food service experience in an acute care facility preferred

• HS Graduate, Associate Degree in business or related field preferred

• Valid California Driver's License

• Food Handler's Certificate required, Serv Safe Certification preferred
