Hospital-Based Pathologist Opportunity – Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Alan B. Miller Medical Center – Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, is actively seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our growing team. This is a hospital-based position offering the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with experienced colleagues.
Position Highlights:
- Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
- Fellowship training in general or subspecialty anatomic pathology required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.
- Active Florida medical license required.
- Shared on-call schedule; 5 weeks of vacation annually.
- Grossing will be performed by a certified Pathologist Assistant
- No autopsy responsibilities
- Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examination and evaluation of surgical pathology specimens.
- Independently perform frozen sections and assess specimen adequacy for cytology.
- Manage a daily mixed caseload of 30–35 specimens, including:
- Breast (core biopsies and excisions)
- Thoracic pathology
- Non-neoplastic and limited neoplastic GYN.
- GU, GI, Neuro, limited Head & Neck
- Limited Hematopathology
- Cytology: thyroid, lung EBUS, GI EBUS
- Work closely with laboratory staff and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
