Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, newly opened, is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the Scottsdale, Arizona population and the greater Phoenix region. Our 120-bed facility offers specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

The Activity Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team who is responsible for planning and implementing activity therapy services for assigned program. This involves defining and implementing treatment goals and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Music Therapy. Master's degree in Music Therapy preferred.
• A minimum of One (1) year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Certification by the certification board for music therapists and credentialed in Music Therapy as a board certified Music Therapist.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
