Universal Health Corporation (“UHealth”) is seeking a Billing Specialist/Self-Pay Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll help verifying eligibility, ensure timely and accurate billing processes and follow-up that lead to efficient reimbursement for services provided to Medicare, Medicaid, MCOs, commercial insurance, HMOs, and other third-party payors.
Schedule & Pay:
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Starting Pay Rate: $20/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and resolve claim denials by reviewing correspondence and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Contact insurance carriers to determine next steps to secure claim payment.
- Manage self-pay billing, client statements, and accounts receivable to improve collection outcomes.
- Process and electronically batch self-pay client statements for vendor upload.
- Provide backup and support to Contract Billing functions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in healthcare required; reimbursement experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Background: Candidates must successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
