Job Title: RN - Med Surg
Location: Bismarck, ND
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 12 hours, 3 days per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
Pay Range: 55 to 60 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high quality patient care on a busy Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to manage multiple patients, and experience working in a fast paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med Surg patients
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and respond to clinical changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Monitor vital signs, document patient progress, and maintain accurate records
- Support patient education and communication with families
- Follow all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
- Current North Dakota RN license
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high patient volume setting
