Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Urgent Care Hours: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Pay Range: 25 to 31 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Certified Phlebotomy Technician to support a busy Urgent Care clinic in Chula Vista, CA. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing high quality blood draws, handling specimens accurately, and providing excellent patient care in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all specimen handling protocols
- Ensure proper infection control and safety practices
- Provide patient support and assist with questions or concerns
- Maintain phlebotomy equipment, supplies, and workspace cleanliness
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and clinic staff
- Assist with additional clinical support duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience
- Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician license
- BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy Urgent Care setting
- Reliable, detail oriented, and able to multitask
