Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $25 – $31 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Certified Phlebotomy Technician to join our healthcare team in Alpine, CA for a 5-month contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and a commitment to providing accurate, timely specimen collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation for all collected samples.
- Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and organization of phlebotomy equipment and work areas.
- Follow established protocols for specimen handling, storage, and transport.
- Assist with patient registration, data entry, and test ordering as required.
- Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during the collection process.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and all facility safety standards.
Requirements
- Active California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-I or CPT-II) license.
- Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience .
- Strong venipuncture skills and ability to draw from a variety of patient types.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
