Journeyman Fire Alarm Technician
Location: Lancaster, CA (Travel throughout California required)
Pay: $40–$50/hr prevailing wage (~50% of projects)

About the Job
We’re hiring an experienced Journeyman Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. This role covers the full lifecycle of fire alarm projects, installation, service, programming, inspections, and closeout, while also leading and mentoring apprentices in the field.

What You’ll Do
- Install, program, test, and service fire alarm systems (Notifier, Monaco, and others).
- Troubleshoot and repair existing systems.
- Perform inspections and maintenance to meet code requirements.
- Lead and mentor an assigned apprentice.
- Redline drawings, close punch lists, and complete final handovers.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
What You Need
- Active California Fire Life Safety Technician Certification (Blue Card) — mandatory
- NICET Level II or higher preferred (or willingness to pursue)
- Demonstrated experience with installation, service, programming, and testing
- Ability to read fire alarm and construction drawings
- Willingness to travel statewide (~25% of the time)
- Physical ability: ladders, lifts up to 50 ft, confined spaces, overhead work, lifting 50 lbs
- Core tools and multimeter on Day 1 (list provided)
