Major Responsibilities
- Provides advice and consultation for all team members, management and front-line hourly employees on policy interpretation, EAP issues, employee conflict, etc.
- Provides guidance and direction to senior management team of assigned areas on all matters related to employee relations, to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices. Ensures legal compliance and understanding of policies and processes. Investigates employee workplace situations including claims of harassment and employee performance issues.
- Supports management in upholding Universal Orlando Resort’s Positive Work Environment philosophy. Supports the TSAT efforts by assisting management with communication and action planning. Works with management to identify and manage the employee impact of company decisions and changes.
- Mentors and provides guidance to Team Members related to their career goals. Motivates staff to accomplish company goals. Builds bench strength within the operational division by identifying recruiting training and development opportunities.
- Acts as liaison between management and core HR by assisting with programs or communicating information relating to payroll, records, benefits, training, compensation, organizational effectiveness, and talent acquisition and engagement.
- Mentors and provides guidance to the Talent & Culture Business Partner team, related to day-to-day decisions, and their development and career goals. Motivates staff to accomplish HR initiatives and company goals. Builds bench strength within the team by identifying training and development opportunities.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervises an Exempt and Non-Exempt team

- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Experience with PeopleSoft, Kronos, Oracle, SharePoint, uPerform, MS Meetings/Training/Teams.
- Knowledge of current compliance and regulations related to HR functions.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Psychology or Management required.
- 7 years Human Resources experience required with 4 years supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
