Major Responsibilities
- Become a champion for the project's creative vision and intent to enhance the development of written narratives and establish a strong narrative through-line for presentations.
- Hone presentation/pitching skills through creation of decks and supporting written materials for Narrative Design team such as: scripts, treatments, presentation decks, speaker notes, descriptive copy, marketing-style copy, and technical reference guides.
- Attend meetings to discuss narrative relevant challenges and participate in brainstorms to contribute to creative solutions.
- Contribute to project research and complete all tasks as required to move project phase forward.
- Provide peripheral support in daily tasks for the current project phases including proofreading, editing, and/or adjusting narrative documentation.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Keynote experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
- A strong writing portfolio.
- Preferred majors include: Themed Entertainment, Creative Writing, Film, Theatre, Editing, Writing & Media, Communications Writing, or similar.
- Themed entertainment writing and/or script writing.
- Copywriting for marketing or media.
- Relevant themed entertainment experience (in-park work experience considered a bonus).
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
