Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimator based in Lees Summit, MO. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project scope and conducting detailed material take-offs. Main duties include reviewing project plans and specifications, collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities, and preparing final bid proposals. The Estimator will also assist in maintaining relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in construction estimating, budgeting, and project cost analysis
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and project specifications
- Strong analytical skills for performing material quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Time management and ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related fields (preferred)
- Relevant professional certifications in construction estimating or project management (a plus)
- Experience in commercial and industrial construction projects is advantageous
