Responsibilities:

• Provide a complete machine design with minimal assistance
• Ensure effective communication with customers, product and project managers, and team members in machine design with respect to customer requirements, operator operation, and schedule planning while managing multiple projects
• Support during part manufacturing and machine assembly as required for multiple projects
• Train other Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Techs
  
  

Requirements

• BSME
• 10 years experience preferred
• Automotive industry machine design experience is desirable
• Basic machine design disciplines and practices
• Ability to complete complex analysis and calculations with assistance from a level lll ME
• Ability to run FEA on structural components
• Create 3d models of working machines
• Proficient in 3d Cad a must (Inventor & SolidWorks a plus)
• 2d Cad design required for machine layout
• Basic understanding of pneumatics/hydraulics
• Ability to create & detail mechanical print sets
• Understanding of GD&T
• Ability to create and maintain bills of material for projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers using tact and diplomacy
• Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)
  
  

Pay based on experience up to $110,000/year
