You will play a central role in this transformation—building a modern BI infrastructure, standardizing enterprise reporting, and enabling data-driven decision-making as we scale. This is a rare opportunity to define analytics capabilities from the ground up and directly influence strategic priorities during a high-growth phase.

We are seeking a highly analytical, technically strong, and strategic Principal Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyst to drive enterprise-wide insights, reporting, KPI standardization, and data-driven decision-making. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership to deliver scalable analytics solutions, define data standards, and enable the business with actionable intelligence.

The ideal candidate is a hybrid BI and Finance expert—someone who understands financial operations, revenue-generating functions, and forecasting models, while also bringing deep technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and modern data tools. This individual combines strategic consulting rigor with fast-paced execution to improve operational performance and champion data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible and impactful role with significant opportunity to drive measurable business outcomes. You will work across all areas of the business, partnering with Finance leadership, Sales Operations, Product, and Data Engineering to elevate analytics maturity, automate reporting, and ensure data integrity company-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Transformation & Strategic Initiatives

• Support the company's technology platform transformation by designing scalable analytics infrastructure aligned with future-state architecture
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, providing analytics support for future M&A integration, operational efficiency programs, and strategic planning
• Build reporting frameworks that support rapid scaling, new market entry, and organizational change
• Drive analytics modernization efforts as part of broader digital transformation initiatives

Enterprise Reporting, Insights & Decision Support

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other BI tools to support financial performance, operational KPIs, revenue trends, and strategic initiatives.
• Deliver actionable insights and analytics to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Serve as the enterprise expert for financial, operational, and sales analytics.
• Provide ad hoc analysis, board-level reporting, and executive-ready visual storytelling.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Business Alignment

• Act as a strategic liaison between Finance, Sales Operations, Product, and Analytics to align reporting needs, data definitions, and forecasting methodologies.
• Partner with Sales Operations to design reporting solutions that improve pipeline visibility, revenue performance, and sales efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability metrics through reliable data pipelines.
• Work with stakeholders across departments to define data requirements, KPIs, success metrics, and standardized reporting frameworks.

Data Engineering, Modeling & Automation

• Write advanced SQL queries and integrate data from ERPs (NetSuite), CRMs (Salesforce), Excel models, and cloud-based data sources.
• Utilize tools such as Power Query, DBT, M, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent to model, transform, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual workflows, optimize reporting pipelines, and improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Partner with data engineering teams to influence data architecture, modeling standards, and governance practices.

Data Governance, Quality & Standards

• Define and standardize KPIs, data definitions, and reporting logic across the organization.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and accessibility across reporting platforms.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, including documentation and data quality controls.
• Lead or support cross-functional initiatives to improve data quality, reporting reliability, and decision-making processes.

Analytics Leadership & Enablement

• Champion best practices in analytics, data visualization, and storytelling.
• Promote data literacy and enable self-service analytics across business teams.
• Stay current with emerging BI technologies, modern data stack tools, and analytics methodologies.
• Operate effectively in an agile, fast-paced environment, iterating quickly based on evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused roles.
• Deep expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite), CRM platforms (Salesforce), and cloud analytics environments (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
