What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician 2 position at Universal Avionics?

Here at UA, you will be part of a company that's leading the future of aviation to ensure easier management and safety & reliability of all phases of flight.  As UA's Electronic Technician II, you will perform electronic testing on complex product, sub-assemblies, and printed wiring boards to written procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct operations test of electronic assemblies and subassemblies using, measurement instruments and automatic test equipment. Using test failure data, determine failed sub-assembly and replace.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates in Electronic Technology or equivalent recommended.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of MS Excel, and working knowledge of MS Word and MS Access.

 Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
