Summary
As an Avionics Systems Engineer Intern at Universal Avionics, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that contribute to the development of state-of-the-art avionics systems. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the Avionics System team with organization of the integration lab and entry-level engineering activities.
- Collaborate with the System Engineering group to help develop and test aircraft equipment developed by UA.
- Participate in team meetings and project reviews to gain insights into the aviation industry and engineering best practices.
- Able to provide clear, written, and verbal English communication.
- Demonstrated strong interest in aviation and electronics design work.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to use lab test equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Creative, motivated, self-starter capable of working open-ended assignments without clear definition.
Education and/or Experience
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a focus on relevant coursework.
