Companion Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate companion to support clients in leading safe, healthy lives. Responsibilities include emotional support, basic housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and assistance with activities, errands, and social events. The role requires strong communication, planning, and physical stamina, along with adherence to all safety and care guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and engage clients in social activities and hobbies.
- Perform basic housekeeping tasks (cleaning, organizing, laundry).
- Prepare meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Ensure clients' safety, cleanliness, and proper medication intake.
- Monitor clients and report developments to supervisors, doctors, or family.
- Drive clients to outings and handle errands with or for them.
- Offer empathetic support as clients heal or cope with conditions.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (additional education/training preferred).
- Fluency in the client’s language (if required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and strong references.
- Excellent communication, planning, and housekeeping skills.
- Physical ability to assist clients and perform job duties.
- First aid/CPR or nursing training is a plus.
- Sympathetic, detail-oriented, and willing to follow safety and care plans.
