Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver educational programs and materials for all volunteers.
- Evaluate volunteer program services annually and provide recommendations for development, improvement, or expansion.
- Provide information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services.
- Prepares monthly and annual service reports.
- Acts as liaison between hospice staff and volunteers.
- Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.
- Attend regular IDT meetings and complete IDT documentation.
- Facilitates community awareness and support of UnityPoint at Home volunteer program.
- Acts as liaison between hospice staff and volunteers.
- Carry out other assignments as may be appropriate.
- Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as assigned and appropriate.
- Participate in orientation and training of new employees working in the hospice program.
- Prepare service reports as requested by Hospice Administrator.
- Assures volunteers and volunteer program meets Hospice Conditions of Participation.
- Enter hospice volunteer frequency orders as needed.
- Maintain a record-keeping system in SharePoint which includes services delivered and actual time involved.
Education:
- Associates degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with patients/families/caregivers through death and dying issues
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Valid Mandatory Reporter course completion by state(s) requirement
