As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you'll work alongside skilled surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure every patient receives outstanding care before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile operating room environment.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Monitor patients throughout surgery, ensuring safety and responding to changes in condition.
- Accurately document patient care, medications, and surgical procedures.
- Advocate for patients while delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within (3) months from date of hire
- Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or within (6) months from date of hire
