Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, trauma, orthopedic surgery, and other acute conditions
- Provide direct, hands-on care while supporting mobility, self-care, and activities of daily living
- Collaborate closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to reinforce therapy goals at the bedside
- Monitor patient progress, celebrate milestones, and adjust care plans to meet changing needs
- Educate patients and families on the rehabilitation process, recovery expectations, and home care strategies
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
