Responsibilities:- Implements Trauma Informed Care (TIC) while completing in-depth mental health and substance use assessments and formulating diagnoses for individuals in crisis.
- Conducts comprehensive mental health and substance use evaluations for clients presenting in crisis situations.
- Contacts physicians, providers, and emergency departments to support disposition recommendations and ensures accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Provides direct clinical services including evaluation, counseling, education, and development of treatment plans for individuals, families, and support systems.
- Delivers substance use assessment, intervention, individual and group counseling, and recovery-focused education and consultation services.
- Provides case management and care coordination, including referrals, locating treatment facilities, insurance authorization support, and collaboration with internal and external providers.
- Participates in on-call rotation for nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 coverage and maintains compliance with all regulatory and agency standards while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related human services field required
Experience:
- 2 years preferred in mental health or substance use services, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of assessments, crisis intervention, and suicide risk/lethality evaluation
- Ability to work with diverse populations in fast-paced, high-stress settings
- Specialized mental health or psychiatric training preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 C.F.R. Part 2, ASAM, DSM, and Trauma Informed Care required or ability to obtain
