The Laundry Worker supports the delivery of services to UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (UPH-DM) and outside clinics through the efficient and timely delivery and management of linens.Utilizes LinenHelper to track and maintain all par locations and deliveries.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.

- Practice reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
- Count linen exchange carts and restocks par levels, issues, and distributes linens accurately.
- Assists with maintenance of linen levels with accurate and timely data input on LinenHelper.
- Answer the phone and record customer linen request.
- Fill customer requests.
- Collect soiled linen.
- Transport linen carts to various area within the IH-DM; including loading and unloading trucks. (F)
Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Must read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
