Additional duties include:
- Acts as a resource person for co-workers and units regarding supply needs and their uses.
- Assists in crediting patient/units with unused or defective supplies.
- Initiates purchase orders and billing process for special patient and departmental needs and monitors their timely delivery.
- Initiates purchase orders for implants and monitors their timely delivery.
- Maintains perpetual inventory of department use supplies.
- Cycle counts inventory on a consistent basis.
- Double checks accuracy and condition of supplies delivered to SPD and places supplies in proper inventory areas.
- Assists in maintaining all items in perpetual inventory in a neat/orderly manner on the shelves.
- Issues, sends and puts away equipment, and makes tracking tags as needed.
- Orders beds and equipment when the Equipment Coordinator is unavailable.
- Dispenses supplies from Storeroom and Linen after hours.
- Checks and stocks Code Carts/Bags and OB Latex Free Tubs.
- Delivers Code Cart and pump for code blues.
- Puts up traction overheads and restocks cart.
- Picks the Anesthesia and OR Daily order and delivers to Surgery.
Qualifications Include:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Knowledge and familiarity with computer systems
- Prior inventory control experience preferred
