We're looking for a Technical Support Intern to join our team! In this internship, you'll work collaboratively in a team environment to provide technical solutions for enterprise clients. The incumbent concisely communicates concepts to team members and clients with varying levels of technological understanding; is responsible for maintaining and understanding the business environment and business needs for internal and external customers in a 24x7x365 environment.
The Incumbent Intern is expected to support the Telehealth life cycle project and telehealth virtual nursing initiatives to ensure all devices are built, tested, and deployed. This intern will help support equipment pick up and decommissioning process of our older devices throughout the quarter.

Responsibilities
Infrastructure and Security
- Manage network access requests for new and existing devices. Implement recommendations from Compliance on a per-device basis
- Add/Remove devices from the Eracent enterprise environment.
- Equipment testing - Gathers resources, relays messages, and document the timeline of events if required.
- Manage all assigned queues within the ticketing system.
Problem Resolution
- Tracks and thoroughly documents all necessary information on issues, problems, and procedural enhancements.
- Maintains and submits status reports on service levels and performance.
- Communicates with management in escalating important issues.
- Keeps abreast of all systems and network changes and enhancements as they relate to client support. Keeps immediate management informed.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma
Experience:
- This is an intern position and as such no prior experience is required.
- Prior UPH IT experience is preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be familiar with Windows-based workstations, operating systems and PC software and hardware
- High level understanding of internet technology, e-mail, Microsoft Office and maintenance tools, Local Area Networks (LAN), VMware, Storage Area Network (SAN), and Telehealth technologies.
- Requires excellent written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, superior telephone etiquette and the ability to deal effectively with staff as well as peers and management. Must have a strong dedication to customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to interact effectively throughout the UnityPoint Health community to ensure and develop solutions to client needs.
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
