Responsibilities
- Join a well-established and reputable team of 7 Infectious Disease physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers
- Office space located in Methodist Plaza - attached to our primary hospital (Iowa Methodist Medical Center)
- Teaching opportunities with local residencies as well as medical students
- Large primary care system providing a built-in referral base
- Infectious disease consultation and follow up at 3 UnityPoint Health Des Moines (UPH-DM) hospitals (within a 10 mile radius)
- Outpatient infectious disease consultation and follow up
- Participate in robust antimicrobial stewardship program at UPH-DM
- Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and electronic consultative services at our affiliated hospitals/clinics
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Large variety of traditional and immuno-compromised infectious disease cases, including kidney transplant patients
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
