UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.

• Well established, 16 member team (16 Physicians & 4 Advanced Practitioners) and growing
• Excellent specialty support
• 12 Bed ICU with intensivist
• Tele hospitalist service overnight
• No night shifts
• Dedicated admitters and dedicated hospitalist nursing staff
• Blocked scheduling
• Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

• Average patients/day: 15-18
• Admitting/Rounding on medical/surgical patients 18-years of age and older (adult), & non-maternity
• Shifts available: 5 on/5 off- 12-hour Day shift 7A-7P and occasional swing shift 12P-12A
• Days/Weekends/Holidays - shared equally amongst group
• Established Tele-hospitalist 7A-7P with local providers
• 2 med floors, 1 cardio,1 surgical, and consult in rehab/mental health
• Can cover ICU and perform procedures if desired, but this is NOT a requirement
• Improve the health of the people and communities we serve

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of IA
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
