Job Description:
The Health Unit Assistant (HUA) coordinates communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients and families relating to patient care. The HUC facilitates unit operations through knowing and communicating information, managing the desk area, facilitating the use of technology, monitoring and communicating bed status, and coordinating downtime procedures. The HUC utilizes Epic to facilitate patient care orders and serves as an Epic resource to physicians and the nursing staff.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Keyboard skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Medical terminology
- Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientations that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM*
