The Clinical Exercise Physiologist is responsible for clinical as well as preventive exercise and educational programs offered by the Wellness Center (WC). These programs include Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR), Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR), Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Rehab, Clinical Stay Fit, Exercise Consults and personal training. Must be able to apply the scientific principles of exercise training in dealing with clientele and provide direct leadership to ensure safety of all participants. Provide medically prescribed exercise therapy, evaluation and consultation for adult patients who are referred to WC. Develop appropriate exercise guidelines in patients with metabolic, orthopedic, or other special needs. Assist in the planning, development, and delivery of health promotion/education activities to patients, family, community members, and employees.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Masters- level Exercise Physiology or related field program
- Valid ACSM – Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (or completed within 12 months of hire)
- Current BLS and ACLS (or completed within 6-12 months of hire)
- 3-6 months experience in outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab or similar clinical exercise programs which indicates successful ability to assume responsibilities within a team context
- Cardiovascular assessment and ECG interpretation
- Behavior-change counseling and motivational strategies
- Adult learning principles
- Coaching training experience
- One or more years of experience in exercise programming and planning, risk factor modification, fitness assessments, teaching groups and individuals
- Experience in PAD rehab
