The Intern is responsible for assisting department(s) and/or leadership in administrative and clerical tasks and gaining hands-on experience in hospital administration. They assist in various tasks, such as document management, scheduling, general correspondence, coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and preparing high-level reports. The role also assists with process improvement projects and quality control initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Regularly attends senior team, medical staff, board meetings and other meetings as assigned as a member of the Senior Team and also serves on various project teams.
- Leads, coordinates, develops and performs specific projects as assigned by the senior team.Senior Team.
- Assists the Senior Team, as needed, in a liaison role between the medical staff and the Senior Team for communication, meetings, project work, etc.
- Serves as a representative of UPHDM on various internal and external committees, supporting the patient care and services for the community.
- Present to the Sr. Team or Board of Directors on a project that was completed during the internship.
Education: Participating in a health care leadership related degree program with an accredited college. Scheduled to complete final year of degree within 12 months following internship preferred.
