Accountants are responsible for recording the financial transactions for the operations of the Meriter entities. These entities include, but are not limited to Meriter Hospital, Meriter Foundation, Meriter Management Services, Meriter Health Services, Meriter Labs, and the consolidation thereof. The accountants also prepare and submit various reports, reconciliations and analysis. Their work supports internal decision-makers, meets requirements of external regulators (tax), provides information to support internal and external Audits and other staff members as appropriate.

- This position will be mostly remote after a training/orientation period with occasional in-office days. We are seeking a local candidate to the Madison, WI area.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance OR Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience
- Greater than 2 years general accounting experience or greater than 1-year general accounting experience in a large organization or accounting firm
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Greater than 3 years general accounting experience in a large organization.
- General accounting experience in a health care organization.
- CPA
- Advanced knowledge/expert user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using Lawson or other complex ERP software system
