Duties

• Safely operate passenger vehicles or specialized medical transport vehicles to their scheduled appointments
• Assist clients with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times
• Ensure compliance with all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during every trip
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks on brakes, tires, lights, and other essential systems to ensure optimal safety and performance
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or changes in schedule
• Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently while adapting to real-time traffic conditions
• Handle manual lifting of mobility aids or personal belongings when assisting clients with special needs or physical limitations

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must have a reliable, clean, and well-maintained personal vehicle that meets company requirements.
• Must maintain appropriate vehicle insurance for the transportation services provided.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local routes to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, passenger safety, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Ability to assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle and perform light physical assistance when needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a courteous, patient, and professional attitude.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to passenger safety and on-time pickups.
• Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) or paratransit is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to qualified candidates.
• Must successfully complete applicable background checks and meet all required driver qualifications.
