Drywall Finisher

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the overall aesthetic and durability of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your skills to create polished interiors that clients will love.

Responsibilities

• Finish drywall surfaces by sanding, taping, mudding, and applying texture to achieve a flawless appearance
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately complete projects
• Install drywall panels, metal studs, and trim carpentry components with precision
• Perform plastering and stucco work as needed for exterior or decorative finishes
• Apply caulking around fixtures, windows, doors, and joints to ensure airtight seals and water resistance
• Assist with fixture installation, door hanging, flooring installation, and other related tasks to support overall project completion
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless workflow and safety compliance

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading techniques
• Hands-on experience with drywall finishing techniques including taping, sanding, and texturing
• Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration processes
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as airless paint sprayers and tile cutters
• Experience with metal stud framing, framing carpentry, mold remediation, and masonry work
• Ability to interpret schematics for fixture installation or remodeling projects
• Prior experience in the restoration industry or water damage remediation is a plus
• Knowledge of construction plumbing systems for integration during finishing phases
• Skilled in construction painting techniques including airless spray painting and touch-ups
• Handyman experience that demonstrates versatility across multiple trades is highly valued
