What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expeditor position at UNITY Systems?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * * Expedite orders to ensure timely deliveries of components and materials to meet project schedules.
- Reviews the PO files in a regular, timely manner. Reviews every file at least once every two weeks; more often for short delivery times or critical pieces of equipment or material;
- Communicates all critical information or related changes in status from the supplier to the Buyer and Material Coordinator as soon as they become known and vice versa.
Experience required
- 6 years of industry experience
- Has deep knowledge of manufacturing or assembling process of procured material or equipment with more complex engineered items
Education/Experience:
- A college associate degree, technical training/certifications, combination or equivalent is required;
- Understands that the Material Status Reports and systems must be kept up to date to enable the Project and Supply Chain Team to access required information electronically
- Five (5) years’ experience specifically as a Project Expeditor for the oil and gas industry;
