What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Worker II position at UNITY SCHOOL OF CHRISTIANITY?
Position Summary:
Provide landscape maintenance service to maintain and beautify Unity Village grounds. Responsible for operation and maintenance of landscape and farm machinery.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate mowing equipment and do daily adjustments and maintenance. Push and tractor mowers. Operate power hand tools. Operate tractors, brush hog mowers, plows, discs, planters, chain saws.
- Perform routine daily tasks including mowing, weed eating, planting and apply fertilizers or chemicals.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. – this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
- Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Snow removal, as needed.
- Work on call for after-hours duties (weekends and holidays) as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
- 18 years of age.
- 6 months of landscape machinery equipment and farm machinery experience.
- Good Customer service skills to assist campus patrons with directions or other requests.
Computer Skills:
Certificates & Licenses:
- Missouri Chauffeurs license or willing to obtain once employed.
- Bucket truck certification or willing to obtain once employed.
