Role Description This part-time Pharmacy Technician role is an on-site position located in Manassas, VA. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with processing and filling prescriptions, labeling medications, and ensuring accuracy in all dispensing activities. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels, organizing stock, checking expiration dates, and assisting with medication orders. The role also involves providing courteous customer service, answering questions, handling phone inquiries, and supporting patients at the counter. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean, orderly workspace and uphold all regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Prescription processing and related pharmacy workflows.
- Understanding of Pharmacy operations and best practices.
- Experience working as Pharmacy Technicians or in a similar role.
- Skills in Inventory Control, including tracking, replenishing, and organizing stock.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal pharmacy technician training or certification preferred.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
