What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthotist Prosthetist Certified DME position at Unity Health?
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics; Master’s degree preferred. Must be licensed by the Arkansas Board for Orthotics and Prosthetics. ABCOP or BOC Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics required.
- Training and Experience: Three (3) or more years of work experience with Durable Medical Equipment. Knowledge of prefabricated orthotics is strongly preferred.
- Job Knowledge: Must have a complete understanding of diagnoses, orthotic prescription, measurement, fitting and follow up of all types of orthotic devices. Must have excellent communication skills and be highly organized.

Description
The Certified Orthotist / Prosthetist will work directly with Physicians, therapists, and all health and allied health professionals to design, measure, fit and provide follow up care for patients referred for care. He or she must be self-directed, able to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal / customer service skills.
