Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role at Unity Health Network, located in Akron, OH, specializing in Podiatry. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting with medical procedures, managing medical records, and supporting the medical office's daily operations. Key tasks include recording medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring high-quality patient experiences by supporting the podiatry team in all clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Assisting, including assisting with examinations, treatments, and patient preparation
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and document patient information accurately
- Experience in Medical Office operations, including scheduling, appointments, and administrative tasks
- Skills in Patient Care, ensuring compassionate and professional interactions
- Knowledge and experience in handling Medical Records, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and team members
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assisting program or relevant certification is preferred
