Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center, a leading skilled nursing facility in Miami, Florida, is seeking compassionate and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team of caregivers. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and residents.

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time or per diem Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to work weekends only, from 7:30pm. As a CNA, you will be responsible for attending to the individual needs of our residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating. You will also be responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics. Additionally, you will recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management, communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors, and demonstrate the ability to assist nurses with various duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating

• Take and record patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics

• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management, asking appropriate questions to clarify situations

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors

• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff

• Demonstrate the ability to assist nurses with various duties as directed

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Nursing Home Care setting is highly preferred

• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA

• Maintain a satisfactory level of attendance and punctuality

• CPR Certification required

• Ability to speak and write in English
