Unity Developmental Disabilities Care Center, LLC (UDDCC) is hiring dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care and supervision in our Group Home settings for individuals with developmental disabilities.
DSPs play an essential role in helping residents achieve independence, maintain safety, and enjoy meaningful daily lives.
We are seeking staff for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts — ideal for candidates seeking steady, rewarding work in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in a residential group home setting.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, meals, and housekeeping.
- Implement and document individual goals and support plans (ISPs).
- Support community outings, social activities, and personal interests.
- Monitor and record daily progress and incident reports.
- Administer medications safely (after completing required Medication Aide training).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other professionals.
- Ensure compliance with Nebraska DHHS and DD Waiver program regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must pass state and federal background checks, APS/CPS registry checks, and drug screening.
- Previous experience in developmental disabilities, human services, or caregiving preferred but not required.
- Ability to complete mandatory training (CPR/First Aid, Mandt, Medication Aide, Abuse & Neglect Prevention, HIPAA, etc.).
- Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality care.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $16 – $18 per hour (based on experience and level of care)
- Shifts Available:
- Morning : 8 AM - 3 PM
- Evening (3 PM – 11 PM)
- Overnight (11 PM – 8 AM)
- Weekend shifts (varied schedules)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
