Compensation:
- Hourly, non-exempt
- The standard wage range for this role is $25.77 to $30.29 per hour
- It may be possible to earn more over time, up to $34.81 per hour
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours, M-F, days

Job Summary
The IT Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing the first tier of helpdesk support. This position responds to phone and email requests for technical assistance and attempts to resolve end-user issues before escalating to other personnel within Information Services. They also provide new employee IT orientation and manage key & alarm code assignments.

Requirements
- Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge at a level typically acquired through completion of a general studies high school program.
- Possesses specific knowledge and training in Computer Science, typically acquired during completion of a certificate or license program.
- Must possess additional expertise in the field of Computer Science acquired through practice or exposure to various conditions, beyond the formal knowledge (or on the job training), allowing employees to perform more advanced techniques.
- 2 years minimum work experience in an Information Services (IS) position.
- Demonstrates functional knowledge of PC and laptop hardware components.
- Demonstrates functional knowledge of installation and troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows Server, Windows Desktop Operating System), Microsoft Office, and other Microsoft related applications.
- Demonstrates functional knowledge of software, including Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2016, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, Unitrends backup software, Trend Micro anti-virus software, general networking hardware, MS Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint, relational databases, Mitel/Inter-tel or similar phone system.
- Prepares basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
- Keyboarding speed of 55 wpm and data entry skills; accuracy is essential.
- Uses Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements, in addition to basic functions.
- Creates basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Uses Microsoft Outlook for more complex email and scheduling operations such as sorting, filtering, archiving, customization and using shared inboxes and calendars, in addition to basic functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Microsoft or Cisco certification highly desirable but not required.

Salary : $26 - $30
