Unity Active is a fast‑growing, woman‑owned youth enrichment company providing high‑quality, on‑site programs directly to schools, daycares, and community centers. We deliver turnkey, movement‑based and STEM‑based classes that build confidence, creativity, and joy for students of all abilities.
Our Robotics program gives students hands‑on opportunities to explore engineering, problem‑solving, and teamwork through age‑appropriate robotics kits and guided challenges.
You will receive curriculum, materials, and ongoing support. Your job is to bring the lessons to life and create a fun, structured, and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Robotics classes independently using Unity Active’s curriculum, structure, and teaching methods.
- Set up and break down class materials, robotics kits, and equipment before and after each session.
- Guide students through hands‑on building and coding activities with patience, clarity, and excitement.
- Maintain strong classroom management to ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem‑solving through structured challenges and group activities.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents (when needed), and the Unity Active team.
- Track attendance and report class updates or concerns promptly.
- Represent Unity Active’s values of inclusivity, kindness, and high‑quality instruction.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or similar).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable managing a classroom independently.
- Interest in STEM, robotics, engineering, or hands‑on learning
- Reliable transportation to assigned school sites in VB
- Professional, punctual, and organized.
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule & Compensation
- Classes run once a month, typically between 10-11 AM depending on school
- Each class is 45 minutes
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
