UNITS® of Detroit is looking for a dependable and professional Delivery Specialist Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering and picking up portable storage containers using our truck and delivery system. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks and delivery equipment
- Deliver and pick up storage containers at homes and job sites
- Follow written placement instructions and GPS directions accurately
- Take required job site photos for documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and office staff
- Manage daily routes and time efficiently
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Operate forklift/hi-lo in the warehouse (training provided)
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment

Preferred Experience:
- Machinery or equipment operation
- Construction, towing, or industrial delivery background
- Familiarity with job-site safety practices
- Experience with tractor-trailers or commercial driving is a plus. Drivers maybe required to work Saturdays as needed.
- Experience operating machinery, trailers, or specialized delivery equipment
- Prior work with portable storage, moving companies, or logistics
- Construction site familiarity or experience working around heavy equipment
- CDL or non-CDL box truck operation experience
- Experience with material handling, warehouse operations, or inventory
- Tow motor, skid steer, or small equipment operation
- Knowledge of job-site safety standards (OSHA awareness)
- Experience interacting directly with customers, homeowners, and contractors

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no major violations)
- Valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License
- Must be 21 years or older (insurance requirement)
- Previous driving or delivery experience
- Ability to follow directions and read placement instructions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather
- Hi-lo/forklift experience a plus (or willingness to train)
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for routing and photos
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
