What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Project Coordinator position at Uniti Fiber?
The National Projects Coordinator is responsible for the execution, oversight, and sustainment of mission-critical Damage Prevention and Damage Recovery operations across Uniti’s network. This role carries out day-to-day tasks and assignments that are critical to accomplishing goals and hitting targets set by departmental leadership. This individual operates with a high degree of independence, initiative, and integrity. This individual must make sound business decisions, exhibit great diligence & follow-through, and resolve or escalate issues appropriately. This position supports & enables the Senior National Projects Coordinator and other leadership to focus on strategy, long-term vision, and overall success of Uniti’s Damage Prevention and Recovery program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- National Projects Management
- Fundamental knowledge of OSP & ISP network construction and maintenance standards.
- QA/QC of DIRT reports and Salesforce records integrity pertaining to Damage Recovery claims.
- Administration of the 3rd party locate vendor invoice review and escalation process.
- Execution and optimization of all established Damage Prevention and Damage Recovery processes.
- Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent organization and documentation.
- Facilitates positive relationships with internal employees, vendors, and contractors that are critical to departmental success.
- Monitors inbound communications to the Damage Prevention email distro and directs traffic accurately in a timely manner.
- Maintains multiple databases that are essential to Damage Prevention & Damage Recovery programs.
- Data collection from internal teams & contractors as needed by Uniti’s 3rd party Damage Recovery partners in the claims process.
- Provides data & reporting used by the Damage Prevention team to provide guidance and support to operational leadership as it relates to Damage Prevention & Damage Recovery.
- Consults with in-house asset protection managers to provide data and guidance for headcount considerations.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3 to 5 years of experience in telecommunications preferred.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, ESRI, Google Earth and Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and communicate effectively.
- Experience and thorough understanding of all disciplines of OSP network operations.
- Experience producing & analyzing large data sets.
- Demonstrated capacity for managing shifting priorities while maintaining high quality and quantity of output in all assignments.

- Ability to travel up to 20%.
