The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is a senior executive responsible for leading, developing, and scaling a high-impact ecosystem of strategic partners across the fiber infrastructure landscape. This role is central to driving enterprise growth by building and managing relationships with engineering firms, technology providers, distribution partners, ISPs, carriers, utilities, municipalities, OEMs, and infrastructure investors.
As the leader of the partner ecosystem, this role aligns cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated solutions across design, deployment, and network delivery. The VP ensures partnerships are not only commercially impactful, but also operationally aligned, enabling speed, scalability, and consistent execution across all markets.
This role serves as the executive liaison for strategic alliances, joint ventures, co-build initiatives, and long-term commercial agreements that support fiber, broadband, and network infrastructure expansion. The VP is accountable for aligning partnership strategy with corporate objectives, accelerating market penetration, and delivering measurable revenue growth, cost efficiencies, and long-term strategic value.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem & Partnership Leadership
- Define and lead the company’s strategic partnership ecosystem across the fiber infrastructure value chain, including engineering firms, construction partners, ISPs, technology providers, OEMs, distributors, utilities, and municipalities.
- Build, strengthen, and scale high-value relationships that enhance the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end network solutions.
- Establish the company as a preferred partner within the broadband and infrastructure ecosystem through trust, performance, and collaboration.
Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify, evaluate, and structure partnerships that expand capabilities across engineering, procurement, construction, technology integration, and service delivery.
- Lead the development of joint ventures, co-build agreements, IRUs, supply partnerships, and go-to-market collaborations.
- Drive alignment between internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution from opportunity through delivery.
Growth & Market Expansion
- Leverage the partner ecosystem to accelerate entry into new markets, customers, and geographies.
- Develop and execute partnership-driven growth strategies that support fiber expansion, broadband initiatives, and infrastructure investment programs.
- Collaborate with Operations to convert partnerships into executable, revenue-generating opportunities.
Operational Alignment & Execution
- Ensure partners are integrated into delivery models to support scalability, quality, and speed to market.
- Align partnership strategies with construction sequencing, supply chain readiness, and customer deployment timelines.
- Drive accountability and performance across the partner ecosystem through clear metrics, governance, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Value Creation
- Develop long-term partnership roadmaps aligned with corporate growth objectives, capital strategy, and market demand.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and improve delivery through strategic partner engagement.
- Deliver measurable outcomes across revenue growth, margin improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic positioning.
Executive Relationship Management
- Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with senior leaders at partner organizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, ensuring alignment, transparency, and mutual value.
- Represent the company in high‑level negotiations, industry forums, and strategic discussions.
- Support M&A diligence and integration efforts related to strategic alliances, as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years of experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or related industries.
- 10 years in senior leadership roles focused on strategic partnerships, business development, carrier relations, or enterprise strategy.
- Proven experience negotiating and managing complex, multi‑party telecom agreements.
- Strong understanding of fiber networks, broadband infrastructure, wireless, and utility‑adjacent deployments.
- Demonstrated success building partnerships that drive measurable growth or strategic advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with private equity‑backed operators or high‑growth telecom organizations.
- Background in regulated environments, including public utility commissions or municipal partnerships.
- Experience supporting FTTH, middle‑mile, transport, or shared‑infrastructure initiatives.
- PMP or similar executive‑level certification a plus (not required).
