What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Supervisor position at UniTek USA?
This position supervises independent technicians in the field using a company provided vehicle.
-be responsible for and knowledgeable in the correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water and sewer systems
-be adept at supervising and instructing technicians or (subcontractors) in thoroughly searching for underground utilities in a designated area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork, and photographing each locate
-be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and using a company provided laptop and/or tablet to document services and problems
-be experienced at working directly with customers and resolving problems in a professional manner
-be enthusiastic, self-motivated, safety conscious, and independent
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
-2 years of experience as a utility locator required.
-Prior supervisory experience preferred.
-21 years of age or older.
-Valid driver's license.
-Clean driving record.
Position Requirements:
-Experience with various brands of locating equipment.
-Working experience of underground construction and fiber builds.
-City, County and State clearance code knowledge and related.
-Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and work overtime as required.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language is required
