What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerial Groundsman I position at UniTek USA?
The aerial groundman works with an aerial crew that is responsible for hanging and splicing aerial communications cables.
Job Responsibilities:
-Ensure the work trucks are in a neat order and clean out trash on a daily basis.
-Ensure all the correct hardware and tools are on the truck every morning before the crew leaves the yard.
-Provide the lineman with tools and other materials to do the job while he/she is in the bucket or on a pole.
-Pull lasher and cables out by hand when needed.
Qualifications:
-Must have a valid Driver License and driving record clear according to company policy
-Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs everyday sometimes multiple times a day.
-Must have a basic command of the English language to understand the safety requirements of the position
-Proven track record of working outdoors in a physically demanding environment
-Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
-Be at least 21 years old (driver requirement)
-Utility Construction experience a plus
