Unitek is a locally operated company that has been in business since 3/1/1989, it has grown to be the largest petroleum recycling company in the state of Hawaii. In July 2019 Unitek became an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) where the employees have an equity stake in the company. Its main offices and recycling facility are located on Oahu and has locations on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island. Unitek collects and processes petroleum products that would otherwise be sent out of state for disposal.

Unitek has been in the same location from day one and has been continually operating since 1989. During the COVID pandemic, Unitek was deemed an essential service and was able to maintain its employee count and keep its employees working full time. Position Summary

To provide mechanic support, preventive maintenance and repair on a variety of facility processing equipment and machinery. Experienced in automotive / diesel vehicle repair and maintenance, use of a variety of hand and power tools and any other tools required to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and proper preventative maintenance on a variety of pumps, motors, piping, equipment, and vehicles to minimize down time.
• Perform quick and accurate repairs on a variety of pumps, motors, piping, equipment, and vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic evaluation and repairs on automotive / diesel vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment.
• Accurately complete and turn in all repair documents in a timely manner.
• Keep work area clean at all times to prevent accidents.
• Must be able work on various projects at once.
• Report any unsafe or illegal activity immediately to your supervisor or manager.

**Compensation will be determined and based on experience.**
