Primary Responsibilities
- Drive high-impact actuarial analysis across Group Supplemental Health, Life, and Disability products, with emphasis on valuation, financial reporting, experience analysis, and forecasting that support key business decisions
- Take ownership of meaningful actuarial work in a fast-paced environment, combining technical analysis and project execution to support key financial and business outcomes
- Advance actuarial and valuation models by leveraging automation and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision support
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable recommendations and deliver technical solutions that drive measurable business value
- Participate in the UHC Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP), rotating through actuarial business areas over a defined period
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Actively progressing on the actuarial exam track, with at least 2 SOA actuarial exams passed
- 2 years of actuarial experience with exposure to pricing, financial reporting, valuation, or data analysis
- Proven excellent analytical and Excel skills, including the ability to work with data, build models, and communicate insights effectively
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
- Experience with analytical and automation tools such as VBA, SQL, and/or SAS
- Exposure to actuarial modeling, valuation, pricing, or financial reporting in insurance or health-related products
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex business problems
